Even though we tried, we were unable to get the same brand back in production. We searched high and low for a similar scent and we have found that this is the only brand that carries this same delicious Sugar Cookie scent! We received many positive reviews and it was liked just as much as the previous brand. Irene has passed and luckily it wasn’t too bad for us. Everything is ok and power is holding up. Order processing and shipping will resume as normal. But please keep in mind that some locations were not so lucky (even as close as a few miles away) and experienced major damage and flooding.  So even tough our shipping and processing time may be back to normal, please be aware that there still may be some postal delivery delays that we are not aware of.

As many of you may already know, Hurricane Irene is heading our way to Long Island.  It is predicted to be one of the worst hurricanes we’ve had in a long time. We are taking every precaution to stay safe and protect our inventory from any disaster the storm wants to muster up.

Be advised that we may lose service during and after the hurricane and there is no telling if or how long power outages will occur.  Some areas in some eastern states are also experiencing mandatory evacuations.  Our website server is based in TX and should still be up and running for purchasing, however we may not have any means to process and ship orders, or reply to any questions or returns if any power outages occur or if we are forced to evacuate Long Island. 

So in conclusion, please be advised that there may be delays in shipments during and in the aftermath of the storm depending on it’s severity, and estimated delivery dates may not be accurate if an order is placed during an outage/evacuation period.

The Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be celebrating the peace and love for all animal with their creation of the first annual Woofstock Pet Adoption Event!

Be sure to stop by on July 16th 2011 for this groovy celebration!  The event will be held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on the grounds of the Animal Shelter located at 300 Horseblock Road in Brookhaven, NY.  Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for a fun day of live music provided by Act 1 Entertainment. There will also be vendors (like us!!), food, refreshments and free adoptions!

And of course, we here at PetKaboodle will be there too!  So don’t forget to stop by our PetKaboodle.com booth to purchase some groovy, “fun in the sun” stuff for your pet to celebrate with!

We have some terrible news…we were just informed that the ever so popular Pet Effects Sugar Cookie Pet Cologne will be discontinued indefinitely!  : (  We are in talks with the company to save this scent from extinction and need your help.

We’re writing this blog as sort of a petition to get this scent back in production. We’re getting there but we still need your support! We know lots of you love this seasonal scent and sometimes buy multiple at a time to have enough to last you for the whole year.  But if you’re running out, this may be your only chance to help keep the scent available.

So please post your comments below telling us how much you love this scent and that you want this luscious sweet scent continued for years to come!  The more comments on this blog the better our campaign will be! We will then show this to the manufacturer in hopes that they change their minds before the holiday season.  But don’t wait too long to leave your comments! Pre-ordering for Christmas pet products are going on now and end the first week in August (yup…us companies need to prepare earlier than you may think!).
